🐶 Meet Riley – A Playful Boy Looking for a Special Home
Riley is a confident, friendly and energetic 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who urgently needs a loving new home in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Due to a very difficult change in his family’s circumstances, they are sadly no longer able to care for him and his sibling, Maizie.
Riley is a wonderful ball of fun who loves playing with toys, going for walks and travelling in the car. He is very good with children and other doggies, but he is not suitable for a home with cats. He is housetrained, leash-trained and has always slept on the bed with his family.
His family would strongly prefer Riley and Maizie to be adopted together, as they are siblings and have always shared their lives.

Age: Approximately 5–6 years old
Temperament: Confident, friendly, energetic and playful. He loves toys, walks and car rides.
Good with Dogs: Very good.
Good with Cats: No.
Good with Children: Very good.
Housetraining: Yes.
Health/Special Needs: Riley is diabetic and requires insulin injections. He is also developing cataracts and has reduced vision. His family will provide his insulin injections upon adoption.
Ideal Home: Riley needs a loving and committed home that can manage his diabetes and ongoing veterinary care. Any swimming pool must be securely covered or fenced, as Riley struggles to find his way out because of his limited eyesight. A home able to adopt him together with Maizie would be preferred.
