🐶 Meet Maizie – A Gentle Cuddle Girl Looking for Love
Maizie is a beautiful 5-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who urgently needs a loving new home in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Due to a very difficult change in her family’s circumstances, they are sadly no longer able to care for her and her brother, Riley.
Maizie is a reserved and affectionate little girl who loves sitting on a lap and enjoying cuddles with her family. Once she feels comfortable, she is a wonderfully loving companion. She enjoys going for walks, travelling in the car and sleeping on the bed beside her humans.
This sweet girl is very good with children and other doggies, but she is not suited to a home with cats. She is housetrained, leash-trained and does not bark excessively. She may bark when she hears an unfamiliar sound but settles easily.
Maizie and Riley are siblings, and their family would strongly prefer for them to be adopted together.

Temperament: Gentle, reserved, affectionate and loving. Maizie is a true cuddle girl who enjoys sitting on her family’s lap.

Health/Special Needs: Maizie has a sensitive back tooth, particularly when eating or drinking something cold. Her new family should arrange suitable veterinary care and monitoring.
Ideal Home: Maizie would thrive in a gentle and loving home where she can enjoy plenty of cuddles, companionship and walks. Any swimming pool must be securely covered or fenced, as she has fallen into a pool before and requires supervision near water. A home able to adopt her together with Riley would be preferred.
